Parents can experience a range of emotions when receiving a diagnosis of Autism for their child, ranging from sadness, fear, grief and vulnerability to relief, assurance, and certainty.

A Mind of Your Own is a safe space to openly discuss your child’s diagnosis/diagnoses/life experiences and unpack what that means  for you and them we can offer validation of your experiences, offer practical strategies for your child and support in advocacy for your child.

PDA Panda Group

Panda_edited.png

A gentle, neuroaffirming 5-week small group for PDA* children aged 5–9 years starting in Term 3.

A calm, low-pressure space where children can connect, play and explore understanding their brains, emotions, sensory needs and what helps them feel safe.

No rewards, compliance goals or “behaviour fixing” — just connection, curiosity and supporting children to understand themselves.

A parent support group will run alongside the children’s sessions, offering connection, practical ideas and support from others who understand the PDA journey.

Small group numbers to keep it safe, flexible and child-led.

Expressions of interest now open. Can be NDIS (capacity building) or privately funded.

*PDA = Pathological Demand Avoidant profile. Contact us if you’d like to discuss your specific situation/needs
